Sandpiper Cottage is in easy reach of the nearby town of Tain
(approx. 5 mins drive). Where you will find a selection of eating
places, coffee shops and takeaways. The town also has a large
co-op supermarket with free parking.
The city of Inverness is just 35 minutes drive away, where you
will find a much bigger choice of shops in it’s city centre.
There is also a large retail park just outside the city which
includes a 24 hour Tesco Extra, Argos, Boots, Next & Pizza Hut
amongst it’s many stores.
Local distillery visitor centres and beauty spots are close by.
Make sure you visit the Falls of Shin. Where you can see the
famous Scottish salmon leaping up the waterfalls.
There are numerous beautiful Scottish beaches close by and of
course you can’t visit without making your way to Loch Ness.
